Straight works to improve your posture based on something called biofeedback. In biofeedback, you are connected to electrical sensors that provide you with information about what's happening in your body so you can make changes.

Biofeedback devices can be used to measure various bodily functions, such as brainwaves and brain activity, respiration, heart rate, muscle activity and tension, sweating, and more. A fundamental part of biofeedback involves gathering information about your body and making you aware of specific patterns or responses so that you can attempt to address them.

Your Straight device is an example of a biofeedback device. It is equipped with a highly sensitive sensor that measures your posture 64 times per second to detect subtle changes in your position. It attaches to the upper part of your back, learns your movements and posture, and then provides feedback to make you aware of your posture, encouraging you to correct it using gentle vibrations.

Initially, your Straight device uses biofeedback to teach you the difference between your personal upright posture and slouching. It then uses training sessions to help you build more awareness and muscle memory. The duration of training sessions gradually increases to help you establish strength and consistency and become aware of your habits. Ultimately, your Straight educates you on when you're slouching and empowers you to correct it on your own, leading to increased confidence, focus, productivity, and comfort.
